Sharifah Sheila Syed Muhamad, 49, is a Non-Independent and Non-Executive Director of SD Guthrie Berhad. She was appointed to the Board of SD Guthrie on 5 February 2024.
Sharifah Sheila currently heads the Global Equity, Employees Provident Fund (EPF), where she leads global equities, overseeing investments in both developed and emerging markets across five regions. With over 25 years experience in fund management and research, she brings a wealth of expertise to her role.
Prior to joining EPF in 2010, Sharifah Sheila has held various roles, including Vice President, and Equities Fund Manager at CIMB-Principal Asset Management Berhad, Equities Fund Manager at Prudential Unit Trust Berhad, Assistant Manager in Investment Banking at Commerce International Merchant Bankers Berhad and Investment Analyst of ABN Amro Asia Equity Research (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. She started her career in corporate finance at Amanah Merchant Bank Berhad.
Sharifah Sheila holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States of America.
