Adi Wira Abd Razak, 49, a Malaysian, has 26 years of working experience in the fields of commercial and operations. His career has seen him work with top MNCs, three of which were world No. 1 companies in their respective industries.
Adi Wira began his career in 1998 with Torray Plastics (M) Sdn Bhd in a logistics and materials coordination function. He then joined Philip Morris International, where he served for 11 years in various capacities in operations and sales with the company’s Malaysia office as well as its Asia Regional Operations & Technical Centre.
Following this, he was appointed Manager, Procurement (Malaysia and Singapore) at Coca Cola Bottlers (M) Sdn Bhd. His career progression saw him becoming the Group Procurement Manager at Kraft Food Malaysia before moving on to become the Group Head of Procurement at Sime Darby Berhad.
Adi Wira was appointed Chief Operations Services Officer of Sime Darby Plantation Berhad (SD Plantation) on 1 November 2019, prior to assuming his current position as Chief Executive Officer, Upstream Indonesia on 1 April 2022.
Before joining SD Plantation, he was the CEO Of Upstream Division for QSR Holdings Berhad, where he managed a business valued at approximately RM 1.2 billion, encompassing integrated farming, food production, trading and distribution in Malaysia, supplying to renowned brands including KFC, Pizza Hut and Ayamas.
He graduated with BA (Hon) Accounting & Management from Sheffield Hallam University, United Kingdom in the year 1997.
