SD Guthrie Berhad (SD Guthrie or the Group), formerly known as Sime Darby Plantation Berhad, registered a Recurring Profit Before Interest and Tax (Recurring PBIT) of RM1.8 billion for the nine months ended 30 September 2024 (9M FY2024), representing a 27% year-on-year (YoY) increase from the previous corresponding period (9M FY2023).

Launched at an event during the annual Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil conference (RT2024) in Bangkok, Thailand, Beyond Zero articulates SD Guthrie’s responsibility to mitigate negative impacts on people and the planet, and also to actively create positive outcomes, all while supporting the Company’s business growth.

SD Guthrie Berhad (SD Guthrie), formerly known as Sime Darby Plantation Berhad, and AME Elite Consortium Berhad (AME Elite), through its wholly owned subsidiary, AME Industrial Park Sdn. Bhd. (AME Industrial Park) have announced plans to jointly develop a green industrial park within the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ).

Sime Darby Plantation Berhad registered a net profit of RM1.2 billion in the third quarter of its financial year ending 31 December 2023 (3Q FY2023), a threefold increase from RM396 million recorded in 3Q FY2022. The quarter’s strong performance bolstered the Group’s net profits for the nine-month period ended 30 September 2023 (9M FY2023) to RM1.7 billion.
