SD Guthrie received the Gold Award for Plantation Sector at the Edge Malaysia ESG Awards 2025.
The awards, organised by The Edge Malaysia, aim to highlight corporations that integrate sustainability into their core strategies and operations - setting benchmarks for transparency, ethical practices and long-term value creation.
Sime Darby Plantation took home the award for Best Innovation in Sustainability for Project Metamorphosis. The project involved upcycling a common waste in the plantation industry-fertiliser bags into chairs as part of the circular economy model.
Sime Darby Plantation received the Sustainable Brand Award during the SME100® Fast Moving Companies Awards 2021.
The award is an extension of the SME100® and acknowledges companies and brands for their long-term investment towards sustainability. It is a nod towards brands that align their purpose with the people and planet while standing the test of time.
