Dr Tomas Koch

Dr Tomas Koch, 65, Male, German, is an Independent Non-Executive Director of SD Guthrie Berhad (Guthrie). He was appointed to the Board of Guthrie on 16 June 2026. 

A seasoned leader with a proven high impact track record, he has a broad industry background with a focus on the energy and chemicals sectors. He was previously a Senior Partner with McKinsey & Company, Inc. for more than 30 years and served companies globally on their growth, performance and digital transformations. He has overseen more than 300 projects across multiple sectors with a focus on the energy and chemicals sectors in Asia. 

Following his retirement, he became an active investor in startups, and he holds several board positions in his investments to ensure rapid scale-up. He is currently a director of Siam City Cement Public Company Limited, a listed company on the Stock Exchange of Thailand. He is also a faculty member of Thai Institute of Directors on corporate transformations.
