Mohd Irwan Ahmad Mustafa

Mohd Irwan Ahmad Mustafa, 45, Male, Malaysian, is a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of SD Guthrie Berhad (Guthrie). He was appointed to the Board of Guthrie on 23 August 2023.

He is currently the Group Chief Strategy and Financial Officer of Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB), a position he assumed since 1 January 2024. Previously, he was Group Head of Private Markets at PNB from July 2017, where he was responsible for Private Equity and Infrastructure Investments.

Prior to joining PNB, Mohd Irwan was the Director of Investment at Ekuiti Nasional Berhad from December 2011 to July 2017. He also held other key roles, including Vice President for Business Development at Integrax Berhad and Halim Rasip Holdings Sdn Bhd from December 2009 to November 2011.

Mohd Irwan's professional journey began at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Malaysia where he started off as an Associate in Assurance Services and later became Manager of Corporate Finance in Advisory Services, a position he held from March 2004 to November 2009. His tenure at PwC equipped him with solid foundation in financial management and advisory.

He currently serves as a director in various companies, including subsidiaries within the PNB Group.

Mohd Irwan is a Chartered Accountant by profession and has been a member of the Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand since 2007. He holds a Master of Finance degree and a Bachelor of Commerce degree specialising in Accounting and Finance from the Australian National University in Canberra, Australia.
