Datuk Mohd Anwar Yahya

Datuk Mohd Anwar Yahya, 71, Male, Malaysian, is an Independent Non-Executive Director of SD Guthrie Berhad (Guthrie). He was appointed to the Board of Guthrie on 10 May 2021.

He started his career in Touche Ross & Co in 1978 before joining Lembaga Kemajuan Kelantan Selatan as Finance Manager in 1982. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Permodalan Kelantan Berhad (PKB) in 1985 and joined PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Malaysia as a Director of the Technology Group in Management Consulting Practice in 1991. In 1997, he was assigned as Services Industry Leader, in addition to his role as Partner in Corporate Finance of PwC Malaysia. In June 2015, he assumed the role of Senior Director and Public Sector Leader of PwC Malaysia before leaving the organisation in 2017. He also served as Executive Director of Sage 3 Sdn Bhd and as a member of the Board of Trustees of PADU Corporation until his retirement on 31 December 2023.

Datuk Mohd Anwar currently sits on the Boards of three public companies: Fraser & Neave Holdings Berhad (F&N), Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad and Public Islamic Bank Berhad.

He holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) Degree in Economics and Accountancy from the University of Hull, United Kingdom. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales, and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, as well as the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
