Azrin Nashiha Abdul Aziz

Azrin Nashiha Abdul Aziz, 52, Female, Malaysian, is the Group Secretary of SD Guthrie Berhad (formerly known as Sime Darby Plantation Berhad) (SD Guthrie) since 1 February 2020. She leads the corporate secretarial functions across the SD Guthrie Group, playing a pivotal role as a strategic counsel to the Board and Management on corporate secretarial and corporate governance related matters.

She began her career with the Group Secretarial Department of Malayan Banking Berhad in 1996 before joining Affin Investment Bank Berhad in 1999.

Azrin joined the Group in February 2002 and became the Company Secretary/Head of Legal of Consolidated Plantations Berhad in October 2004 where she led the full spectrum of corporate secretarial and legal affairs. Following the merger of Sime Darby Berhad, Golden Hope Plantations Berhad and Kumpulan Guthrie Berhad in November 2007, Azrin was designated as the Head of Legal and Corporate Secretarial of SD Guthrie, the Plantation Division of the merged Group. She transitioned to focus on corporate secretarial as Head, Corporate Secretarial in June 2014 following the department’s re-organisation. She held this position until her appointment as Group Secretary.

Azrin holds an LLB (Hons) from the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, United Kingdom and a Certificate in Legal Practice from the Legal Profession Qualifying Board, Malaysia. She also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Management from the University of Technology Malaysia. She is a Licensed Company Secretary and an Affiliate of the Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.
