Acting Chief Executive Officer, Upstream, Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands
Nik Maziah Nik Mustapha, 50, Female, Malaysian, was appointed as the Acting Chief Executive Officer, Upstream Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands (PNG & SI) on 16 June 2025. She brings with her close to three decades of professional experience across audit, financial services, aviation, property, and plantations, with strong expertise in governance, risk, and operational management.
Nik Maziah began her career in 1997 as an Audit Associate with Arthur Andersen & Co and later joined Golden Hope Plantations Berhad in 2006 as Internal Audit Manager. Since then, she has held various senior leadership roles within the SD Guthrie Group, including Chief Integrity & Assurance Officer (2019–2021), Head of Transformation for New Britain Palm Oil Limited (NBPOL) - one of SD Guthrie’s major subsidiaries operating in PNG & SI (2021–2022), General Manager of Poliamba Limited - one of NBPOL’s regional operations (2022), Regional CEO for Upstream Malaysia - Northern Region (2023–2024), and most recently, Chief Operating Officer of NBPOL (2024–2025).
Throughout her journey, Nik Maziah has driven a culture of transparent and inclusive leadership, strengthened accountability at all levels, invested in people development, and improved operational performance on the ground. During her time as NBPOL’s Head of Transformation, she drove value creation efforts by refocusing site-level priorities, enhancing visibility of key operational indicators, and supporting the early foundations of performance accountability across the region.
Nik Maziah holds a Bachelor of Accounting (Hons) from Universiti Utara Malaysia. She is a Chartered Accountant registered with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and a member of the Incorporated Society of Planters (ISP).
